Emerald Lake Lodge

As its name suggests, Emerald Lake Lodge lies on the shores of the stunning Emerald Lake, just 20 minutes west of Lake Louise in Yoho National Park.
The Lodge itself is an impressive structure which exudes history, and the lack of TVs and internet access in the guest rooms, as well as the absence of cell phone reception in the whole region, encourages the traveller to remember a time when nothing more was required except the awe inspiring mountain scenery and a world class hotel from which to appreciate it!
Being the only hotel for miles around, the feeling here is similar to that of a backcountry lodge, and some of the Canadian Rockies best hiking trails can be accessed right from the door.
Guest accommodation is spread among 24 cabin style buildings and each room is appointed in a traditional lodge-style with a wood burning fireplace and a balcony. Studios and one bedroom suites are also available as well as the extravagant Point Cabin with whirlpool bath and wrap-around balcony.
In keeping with other Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts properties, the restaurants here are excellent. From the fine Rocky Mountain Cuisine in the Mount Burgess Dining Room to the more casual menu of the attractive Kicking Horse Lounge, you are sure to be impressed.
